The Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators (KATE) is a statewide professional organization affiliated with the Southeastern Regional Association of Teacher Educators and the Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). The purpose of KATE is to promote a closer union, better understanding, and cooperation among all groups concerned with the advancement and improvement of teacher education in Kentucky.

2026 KATE Awards
The Kentucky Association of Teacher Educators (KATE) is proud to continue its tradition of celebrating the exceptional individuals who shape the future of our profession. We invite you to nominate deserving colleagues and students for our 2026 Annual Awards, which recognize excellence across all levels of education. This year, we are seeking nominations for the Distinguished Educator Award, the Outstanding Mentor Teacher Award, the Outstanding Early Career Award, and the Outstanding Graduate and Undergraduate Student Awards. These honors celebrate those who demonstrate outstanding leadership, innovation in the classroom, and a profound commitment to the teaching profession. Please help us spotlight the dedication and impact of our members by submitting a nomination through the link below. All winners will be recognized during a special ceremony at the annual conference on September 25th at Spindletop Hall. Nominations must be submitted by June 30, 2026.
